News Release September 10, 2009 - Fountain Academy of the Sacred Heart – the boys’ high school division of Sacred Heart School of Halifax – was officially opened today. Philanthropists Margaret and David Fountain and their daughter, Gwyneth along with Sister Mary Finlayson, provincial superior of the Society of the Sacred Heart, cut the ribbon on the brand new $4.5 million building.

Real People, Real Needs - A refugee is defined as someone who flees, especially to a foreign country to escape persecution. But, is it possible to flee persecution? Sometimes, I suppose it is. But, the journey to freedom is much longer than the winding, arduous path that bureaucracy requires for those who flee from one country to another.

ANAM 2008 - RSCJ leadership teams from Cuba, Puerto Rico/Haiti, Mexico/Nicaragua, the USA and Canada (hence the acronym drawn from Antilles, North America, Mexico) come together annually to share the life of their province, to grow in understanding of other provinces and to support each other in the ministry of leadership.
